If you have installed a belt drive on your cone Shovelhead or Evo Harley, this cover is a necessity to protect your alternator rotor. The aluminum construction allows for additional cooling as it acts as a heat sink. There is a mounting lug incorporated in this part for a belt shroud if desired.
